SHINE PRINCIPLES

Changing jerseys does not change your skills, and your skills are the only thing a recuiter is looking at. Colleges recruit talent, not teams.

tryout information

Shine offers competitive team play opportunities year-round for grades 5-12. Middle School teams play locally in tournament or league play. Qualified High School Teams participate in “exposure” events around the country to provide prepared and mature athletes with an opportunity to play in front of college recruiters and coaches as part of the evaluation process for post-high school play.

Players should tryout for their current grade level during Fall and Winter tryouts.

SUMMER TRYOUTS
Players should tryout for the grade they will be entering in the NEXT SCHOOL YEAR.

Evaluations for teams are complete for the Summer 2022 Schedule.

competitive teams - shine elite

Shine's Elite teams play locally, regionally and nationally depending on their age and skill level. Teams are formed through semi-annual tryout dates (listed above).

LOCAL TEAMS

Shine teams compete in local and regional events through various providers, including Power to Play, iHoops, Hoop Nation, and others.

NATIONAL TRAVEL TEAMS

Shine has established relationships with the country’s more prestigious events, including but not limited to: Nike Tournament of Champions, Big Foot Sports Series, Adidas Invitationals, Frisco Super 64, Nike End of Trail Events, the Check Me Out Showcase, Los Angeles Elite Invitational, Miss Basketball, MSNM Basketball, USJN/Blue Star Media, Vegas Elite Tournaments and more. Our Academy has established communication channels with over 1200 college programs throughout the US via our partnership with Field Level, and we have formed strong relationships with the coaching staff at various regional and national programs like: CU, CSU, MSU, DU, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado Christian University, UCCS, and others.
